Our customers can book a foreign exchange rate by phone, email, or through our online payments system. It's easy and secure. Customer funds are held in segregated client accounts at financial institutions. To be setup on our online foreign exchange booking system, please call us for more information.
Once you register with us, below is our easy 3-step transaction process.
Call us or meet us in person
- Book FX Rate. Call 1-877-355-KBFX (5239) Ext. 0 to speak to one of our account managers or book an appointment for an in-person visit. We will provide you a live foreign currency exchange rate, which if you like, can accept and lock it in. The exchange rate does not change. Let us know where you would like your purchased currency sent. We do not charge any fees to send funds via wire transfer to you or the account holder of your choice. You will receive a trade confirmation from our back office confirming all details of the transaction.
- Transfer Funds. Transfer funds via online banking bill payment or via wire transfer from any bank to the Bank of Montreal Segregated Client Account.
- Receive Funds. The Bank of Montreal will wire funds to your beneficiary upon receipt of your funds. Funds can be sent and received the same day you send them.

There are no hidden fees or commissions, the foreign exchange rate you receive is the all-in exchange rate.
We are registered with and regulated by FINTRAC (Government of Canada). We collect information required to ensure that the identity of every client is verified and that our corporate records are maintained according to the applicable legislation outlined in the “Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act”.
We work with Canadian and US businesses as well as Canadian residents. We do not work with US residents.
