US Dollar Canadian Dollar Currency Exchange FX Morning Update November 13, 2014
USD/CAD Open: 1.1315-1.1317 Overnight Range: 1.1298-1.1339
The Canadian dollar was rangebound in overnight currency exchange markets. Oil is at $76.22 and gold is at $1,162. US futures are higher. Today, the US releases weekly jobless claims.
The short term Canadian dollar technicals are negative. For today, USD resistance is at 1.1395. Support is at 1.0925.
Oil is slightly weaker. Weekly jobless claims are broadly in line. Commodity currencies are holding their ground. USD/CAD seems rangebound waiting for tomorrow’s retail sales data. Domestic data releases should be the key catalyst for currencies.
